火锅英语（“火锅”的英文居然不是“Hotpot”）
火锅一年四季都有人爱好吃，但你知道火锅真正的英文表达吗？并不是hotpot！

听到hotpot的你
是不是想到的是这样的

服务员给你上来的，是这样的：

Hotpot在国外是“土豆炖肉”
（还是那种连锅端的~）
如果你在国外点餐说："I'd like a hotpot."，服务员会给你端一份连锅的土豆洋葱炖肉，相似大杂锅。火锅的英文应当是hot pot，中间是离开的，如果你怕说错，可以用chaffy dish。
This Sichuan hot pot really works up my appetite.
这个四川火锅真是吃得我胃口大开。
So, how should explain Chinese chaffy dish with such foreign friend?

Soup pot ≠ 清汤锅
身边总有一位不吃辣的朋友，吃火锅必点一个鸳鸯锅锅，一边麻辣一边清汤，但soup pot是平时用来煲汤的锅，并没有清汤锅的意思，清汤锅的准确表达是plain broth。

我们点哪种锅底呢？菜单上说有清汤、麻辣和鸳鸯三种锅底。

No spicy ≠ 不辣
“辣”在英文不仅能用spicy，还能用hot。
spicy和hot的差别：
hot：热的、辣的。
hot指普通的辣，但更着重于热的感受。
spicy：辛辣的、多香料的。
spicy倾向于辛辣，比hot的水平更深、更接近辣。而且spicy不仅仅表现味道辣，它也可以表现气息的刺激、辛辣。
所以不辣的准确表达是not spicy。
